El Salvador SHG Washed
Salvadoran coffee beans are graded according to the height they are grown in and the abbreviation SHG stands for Strictly High Grown so the higher the farm, the better the coffee quality.
It comes from farms located in volcanic mountain regions at an altitude of more than 1350m above sea level. The farms are placed on mountain slopes consisting of red soil of ash and lava. Volcanic, highly permeable, mineral-rich soil forms a fertile ground for plants. All these factors contribute to the high quality and flavor profile of Salvador coffee.
This coffee is from the Bourbon variety, washed process. It has the aroma of lemon peel and acquired a medium body from the notes of raw chocolate and milk chocolate making it excellent for espresso and milk drinks like the latte and flat white.
